There have been a few items brought to my attention that I want to point out.

1. Please be at the ramp on time to pay your entry free and get in the water. The TX Committee is adamant on shutting down sign-ups 15 minutes before blast-off. If you do not arrive before that time, you will not be allowed to fish. The proverbial crap hit the fan at the last tournament and I was called out because I allowed several boats to go out after everyone else blasted off. THIS WILL NOTHAPPEN AGAIN. If you are not going to make it by blast-off, then do not call and beg for a free pass because it is not going to be granted. We will post an estimated blast-off time based on what we feel is going to be safe-light, but that time is not going to be guaranteed, as weather conditions, etc can adversely effect safe-light.

2. For anyone who thinks its cool to make one-word and EMO posts to pad your postings and fish with us, pull your head out of your rear end and realize we are not completely stupid. I did not attend and graduate from an Ivy-League school, but Idid learn to read and count where I did graduate.I will personally say this as honestly as I can...If you thinkby making one word posts and emo poststhat you are going to make any friends on this forum then you are wrong. I get PM's and emails from people all the time who notice these things. Then I follow up on them andverify what I am being told, which if true, only makes me question your integrity.By doing this is jeopardize your trust with the tournament committee. If we think you are going to skim the rules just to fish, then why would I think you would not do the same on the water? This trail is for fun. If you want something else, then go fish with TVBC or CBA. We havea term in our rules thatwas addedfor a reason..."active CFF member".

3. Reminder to keep those fish cozy and comfortable in the live well. It is going to start getting hot and keeping your fish alive and kicking should be a high priority. At the last tournament, my live well pump quit working. Luckily, my pro-air kept oxygen in the water and I manually added water all day to keep the fish swimming.

4. Finally, I want to give a kudos to those who fish most of the tournaments and bring the spirit of CFF with them in their fellowship. This trail is not about winning big money; if that is what you are after then you need to look elsewhere. It is about a group of anglers of various skills and experience with a common passion coming together to compete and fellowship on a grass roots level. My hat is off to those who actively participate and help make the CFF Trail the success it is.
