You read Hangnmoss's report, now here is my side of the story. We had not been on Guntersville in a month so I went down late Friday (5:00pm) to try and locate some fish. No luck. I did see some activity at dark near the ramp so that's where we began our day. Caught 1 keeper (2.5 lb) on my favorite top water bait (Skitter pop). Hangnmoss had several strikes but no hookups. Left that spot and stopped at an area with deep water pocket leading upto shallow grass. Caught or 2nd keeper on the skitter pop and 3 or 4 more non-keepers. The sun got on up and the top water bite stopped. Feeling good about having 2 keepers in the boat early, we headed out to the main channel where we had boated a 17 lb bag a month earlier. We were flipping the grass edge and I caught a nice fat fish 2.5 lbs but only measured 14 7/8 inches. That was it for the flipping bite. The rest of the day was spent tring the find fish. We tried creek channels and docks with no luck. At about 12:45 we went back to our second stop and right off caught our 3rd keeper on a weighted trick worm in green pumpkin with red flake, good color for mil foil. With Hangnmoss on the trolling motor I hung into the 6.3 lbr. When she got up next to the boat she turned and pulled about 10' of line and went down in some heavy grass. I thought I was going in after her. Finally she came up and right into the net. Needless to say I was real excited. Hangnmoss caught our 5th keeper at 1:30 and that was the end of our day. We just got lucky finding those fish right at the end. I enjoyed meeting you guys and look forward to fishing with you again.

PS. If someone has a picture of our fish, please email me a copy or post it and I will down load. Thanks.
