Chattanooga area fishing

Hey guys, I’m now getting back info fishing due to a buddy. I’ve tried going down to the dam and out to Soddy , not really catching anything. (We do not have access to a boat) is there any places y’all recommend from Soddy down to Chattanooga where we can do some bass fishing from the shore or like a dock. Thanks ! ????

I’m also not the most knowledgeable about the time of year and locations so I may just be off completely and by the dam I mean the river side of the chic

I’ve caught a couple baby shad in a cast net just off the damn but the water was still high because they had the gates open so the water was really high.

Have you tried the other side of the dam>? Thats where you can catch 5-7lb smallies
