Chattanooga Crappie Club 7th results.

The 7th crappie tournament for the CCC was held on 11/23/2014 from Chester Frost Park. It was a rainy chilly day, but the wind wasn't so bad. 9 boats participated in the tournament in spite of the weather forecast not being the best. Still, a fun tournament was had by all who did dare to brave the elements.

Tournament was won by Brian Howard/David East duo (anyone surprised?) who had a nice 7 fish limit of 7 lbs 4 ozs. 2nd place went to Dickey Porter/Phillip Gawthrop who also had a 7 fish limit at 6 lbs 8 ozs.
Big fish of the tournament was by the team of Debbie Griffith/Ron Crawford who weighed in a nice slab at 1 lb 4 ozs. It was caught on a "minner". Grin.

The guys from the bass fishing circuit were no shows. emoUpsmile

Here is the order of finish and weights:

1. Brian Howard (Wolftever Kid) and David East (Crappie King) 7 lb 4 ozs
2. Dickey Porter (Drumking) and Phillip Gawthrop (DCchat) 6 lbs 8 ozs
3. Zack Bryden and Anthony Hess 6 lbs 2 ozs
4. Mike Johnston (Korngrinder) and Brian Ainslie (jonboat) 5 lbs 15 ozs
5. Bobby Ramsey fished alone. 5 lbs 13 ozs.
6. Jim Edmister (Catfish1) and Fred Shoenfeld (fishaddiction) 5 lbs 11 ozs.
7. Seth Colemen (tournament director) and Nick Long 5 lbs 9 ozs.
8. Tommy Whitt and Jason Adams 5 lbs 1 oz
9. Debbie Griffith and Ron Crawford 2 lbs 3 ozs. but did have big fish at 1 lb 4 ozs.

Great job by all. Lots of fish caught and you can tell by the weights that it was a very tight race for bragging rights. Next tournament is scheduled for December 14th from 7:30 til 2:00 out of CFP.

Oh, I didn't remember everyone's CFF screen name is the reason that I omitted some names.

Great day, tough day, wet day, cold day but we made it a fun day!!! Glad that people came out and braved the elements. We proved that we can adjust and find the fish, now we need to prove that there are some big guys and gals lurking in the deep somewhere. Someone bring us that TWO pounder next tournament!

Had a great time as usual fishing with a great bunch of folks. Congratulations to the winners and to all for toughing it out till the end in tough conditions. Looking forward to the next one!!!
