Hey all thought since got rained out last night .. I would try it this am .. 6:30 went over to chester frost .. idled over to the same place I've been catchin fish for weeks .. at first was quite .. no shad activity .. then started to see some shad tailing.. I threw popper and spook around .. only one taker... I switched over to a white and chart spinner bait , and instantly started catchin bass .. caught like 10 in 10 casts all 13-14 inches,, finally found few in the 15-17 inch range... then as fast as the action started it ended .. My partner zunker arrived in his boat about the time things died.. we were about to bove out on the main river and try a few spots .. then we marked school of bass and shad.. stoped and fished there Zunker caught one on a spinner bait and I got one one on a popper both were about 14 inches his may have gone 15.. then nothing .. We moved out into the channel .. nothing would bite .. saw bunch of shad and fish on the lcr but couldnt get em to bite .. I did manage to hook a couple in 18 feet on carolina rig but they got off.. then again about noon the skies darkened and I headed back to the ramp .. just as I got the boat to the ramp lightning broke loose .. and it started to pour rain.. I would have like to stayed longer but I had stuff to do at home anyway .. I think its about time for me to head back into the river for the summer .. I always do better on the river than the lake in general.

Dang NRG you are pushing it with the lightening thing! emoLaugh Glad you got to go tho. When I find them schooling like that I usually try a crank bait on them and if that doesn't work try a spoon or silver buddy ripped through the school. Sometimes they just can't resist. emoThumbsup Thanks for the report and keep them coming in...

What Ranman said ---- white roostertail 1/4 oz. you can throw them a mile and they sink pretty fast so you can fish them pretty deep if you need to!
