Extra care is in order at the ramp right now. It’s basically usable as a 1 wide ramp right now due to the prop wash holes and gravel mounds at the end of the concrete coupled with low water.

I’ve never understood why people think they need full throttle to get a boat on a trailer. Get your boat floated on the trailer, get off your butt and winch it the rest of the way - duah!!! emoBang

Yes it is. If you’re looking down the ramp, don’t use the right side. Center left looking down the ramp is the ideal spot for this water level. This is speaking of HBSP

675.1 current level....not sure I have ever seen it this low in the 11 years I have lived in Hamilton county.

I have seen it lower several times in my lifetime but I grew up on Soddy Creek and been around the park for years

Now is the time for the county to repair the ramp. It doesn't take much. Just simple safety concern but they just don't care!

The main problem unloading was the trailer wheels were falling off the back of the ramp before the boat would float up off of the trailer. So you had to start the engine and power off the trailer in reverse. That is when you hit the pile of rock debris backwash and that is when most of the props were dinked. Then when you were trying to load your skeg would hit the pile of rocks before you could get the nose of the boat on the trailer. Boats load differently. Some load deeper or shallower than others. I had my engine jacked up and trimmed up and still hit. Several boats came out of the water crooked on the trailers and had to go back in to straighten them. It was a mess to say the least. Harrison Bay has a rock pile on each corner of their ramp that you can hit also. And yes, we need desperately need some repairs and maintenance on just about all our docks and ramps.
