What a great day to be on the water (looks like everyone agrees)emoToast I took a non fisherman today and didnt get out of CFSP. Left the launch and went left toward the stumps. This isnt a secret hole as we were sharing space with 6 other boats. I threw a Norman crank bait and caught 15 or so including 3 nice White bass, 10 or so Yellow bass, a drum and a keeper (I guess) large mouth ( a quick release at the boat). The best was my friend who has fished 3 times in about 5 years was able to boat 5 or so including a white bass that gave him a good fight. He was throwing a rattle trap blue and silver.
The gulls were swarming and all you had to do was follow them. The water temp was about 49 deg and we stayed in the 5-7 foot range. It was a perfect day to get a beginner on the water. If we were fishing a tourny the river would have been perfect as they were pulling a TON of current, but for what I wanted the cove was perfect!
Glad all had a good time. I think I am over selling my boat! Im going to have to find another source of income for daycare.emoLaugh emoLaugh
