Chick 10-5

2jigs and I hit the Chick around noon. We launched out of HBSP and started out fishing around the islands. 2jigs caught a fish on his first cast in about 5ft of water on a Carolina Rig. 2jigs picked up another fish near the islands. (I’m down 2 - 0) We headed up to Sequoyah and I quickly caught up with 2 fish on a shaky-head with a grub. Then I landed the fish of the day a 31/2-4 pound smallie. We caught a few more on grubs, worms and crank bait and then moved to another spot around a Sequoyah and with only about 45 minutes left to fish, 2jigs boated 3 or 4 fish on tx rig with a worm that was so long it looked like a snake. 2jigs ended the day with 8 or 9 bass and one of the ugliest cat fish I have ever seen, and I had 4 or 5 bass with the big fish for the day. Most fish were caught in 5-10 ft of water the smallie was in about 15 foot of water.

Great fishing you two. Beautiful bass and beautiful women sure do make a great picture. The current seemed to pick up there at Sequoyah in the middle of the afternoon and the bite seemed to be getting better as drc and I had to leave yesterday. Were the fish on any particular structural element?

Most of the fish we caught were off wood or brush. The smallie came off a drop with some current there was some brush in that area but I didn't feel any when the smallie hit.

Nice fish there BB. I have seen a bunch of boats in that area in the past few weeks. It's nice to see some big smallmouth coming out of the area up river. Good job guys!

I hate to tell you but the secret hole is not much of a secret, everytime I go by there someone is sitting on it. Sometimes I just have to take a number and wait my turn.

I'll have you know RR that I just so happened to bring her lunch. And I only tried to knock her fish off once. And yes flip, If you only count keepers. She did skunk me. But I truly enjoyed myself BB & look foward to the next trip. For who so ever falls to the great BB. If you get a chance , when she's not looking. Hide her shakey head box. When she brings out that box she's fixin to WACK ya. One last thing, she called her shot on the 4lb. brown fish. ( ok here comes a fish on this cast ) & Wack. If your ever fishin with BassBullet & she says that. Make somthing up real quick like , how is your dog or somthing. If not WACK. & she's got ya.... Thanks Kim, See you next time...2jigs...
