Fought the wind from 2-4 and ended up with more bass than backlashes...actually, it may have been a tie;). Caught 6 chunky spots, and mild windburn, along rip-rap banks with a Rapala DT-10 in the shad pattern.

Jason, were you fishing from a boat or the bank? Was it pretty shallow? Come on man, give something up, where bouts were you?

Booker T, from the pier, casting paralell to a deep-water chunk rock ledge. The depth drops from around 8' into the teens and the bass were in the middle. I started out with craw patterns, but didn't get bit until I switched to shad.

Four of them were definite keepers, in the 2.5lb range, and the other two were just under the limit. If you are looking for some hawgs, a jig-n-pig crawled slowly over deep ledges & points might be a better option. However, if the bite is strictly a reaction strike, rather than a feeding one, a crank deflecting off cover is a better bet. I only had a few hours to spare and took what I could get.
