[MADD DOG]

Went today and not too eventfull, very windy, and kinda cold. Did get to scout out a new area in Soddy Creek and caught three good fish, all around 2 1/2 to 3 pounds. Also caught three short fish that were close to measuring. Fished with a new partner and learned some new patterns. Fished around Skull Island and the nuke plant some, but nothing TOO WINDY! Fish was caught in 10 to 25 foot of water, big ditches, and on the usual grub. Oh, had boat trouble at the end, an alarm started going off when the motor started and when put in gear the safe mode or stall gear wouldn't let it run, kinda studdered. I took that as I shouldn't run it so I trolled in. I took my boat strait to CBC and pitched a fit, its a new boat , but anyway, anybody got ideas what went wrong its a 2006 TR196 with a 200 Honda. I don't know much about it except its supposed to be dependable LOLemoLaugh.

Sounds like a good scouting trip...aside from the boat issue. Boats have become so high-tech that they are either virtually trouble free or plagued with constant glitches.

Yep, I hope I didn't buy a lemon. Up until now it has not gave me no trouble, I hope its something simple.

Yep, the boat was running fine then, Mabey hitting the four foot swells at 65mph beat my motor apart LOL.

WE WERE COMMINTING ON HOW WELL IT SOUND. SORRY ABOUT THE TROUBLE! WE WERE IN THE WHITE AND BLUE ALLISON SO IF YOU SEE US OUT. STOP BY AND SAY HELLO AND WE WILL DO THE SAME. GOOD LUCK ON THE MOTOR AND FISH.

I'm not a mechanic but if the alarm sounds on a cold engine, the alarm often indicates a malfunctioning oil injection system. If it sounds on a running engine it often means you are overheating.

I'm no mechanic, either, but it couldn't be oil injection--honda doesn't build 2 cycle engines.

Oh yeah, good point . I'm still dealing with a 2-stroke, 1990 60 horsepower Mercury .
