We started about 6:00 pm and fished until a little after 9:00. Only caught 6 fish total with 1 keeper. We spent a lot of time trying to find big fish on off-shore drops. Al caught the keeper on a craw-like jig. I caught the other 5, 3 on a zoom trick worm on a 1/4 oz slider head and 2 on a Lake Fork craw tube rigged my special way. All of the fish were stuck on wood, docks & blowdowns.

A beautiful evening to be on the lake with a good friend!

I expected Fat Albert to be a 500lb Sumo-looking dude...these screen-names can be deceiving. Good report. I've read several posts about trying the off-shore humps and ending up with a better bite in the coves and on points.

thanks, Jason, it is an old nickname I have had many years from folks I worked with at DuPont. It was a beautiful evening and all the bites were around wood. Docks that were old and had been there some time. There was deep water near by,,,, 14-17 feet. I tried to dropshot some,,,never done it before, but I can see it has it's advantages. me and the madbomber missed several on C-rig. Don't know why, just did....emoScratch

He really is a 500 lb. sumo wrestler. That bass weighed 12 lbs. It all a matter of scale!

I dug out some old pictures and found one that shows FA when he wasn't so Sumo-esque. He's holding his favorite species. Drum King ain't got nothing on FA.

That's ok madbomber, go ahead and make fun of me while you can..... you know there is only (3 more days) til the light goes on and the doctor begins his probe work....LOL then I WILL get to make light of your condition.emoLaugh I guess you know that drum kinda looks like a bass....

I believe it is 2jigs. I think its one of those musical smallies tho. Must be a drummer or something. See those big fins? emoLaugh Good report guys. You two are gonna have all the fish ready to go next weekend.emoLaugh

Nice Colonel baseball shirt in the picture Fat Albert. Did you have a son that played on a Colonel team? I had one that played for them for several years. A first class organization.

Hey tarheel, no I did not have a son playing. I am an umpire and some mom wanted me to have that shirt. I don't think she was trying to bribe me but sometimes the pirks are ok... that was after the tournament.emoRolleyes
