My wife and I hit the water around 10 AM from hwy 58, HBSP (there is no more parking fee). We headed north and fished a few coves off the eastern side. Boated four LM total, no keeps. Two were on a 3-6 ft crankbait in water less than 10 feet deep. Third and fourth were on a white spinner bait in shallow water less than 5 ft near underwater structure or grass. No luck with the Horny Toad, although I threw it using a Texas Rig. Not sure if you are supposed to use a weight with the Horny Toad or not. Gave the deeper waters a try for a while with a DD22 with no luck. Saw alot of dead drum fish in the river and more spotted gar than I have ever seen. Got a gar to chase the spinnerbait but no bite. I've seen people fish for gar with crossbows on Lake Seminole, pretty wild.
