Hit the water around 6:45 am and headed upriver. I think I passed "liveliner" in the river channel just past the nuke plant. Went to a cove where I always see morning activity and boated a little dink on a SB next to a dock. Gave the BB a toss but no takers. I then headed up to a creek mouth and tied on a T-rig. I decided it was time to slow my presentation way down and I found some nice structure to focus on. Had a nice keeper LM chomp down just behind my hook making my hook set useless. He flashed me and looked to be about 2 lbs; he'll be poopin' plastic for a while. Kept tossin the T-rig and had another dink then a short rainshower came up. emoRain Around 10:30 I felt a thump, set the hook, and moments later I had my first SM in the boat. emoThumbsup He was around 13-14" and a fiesty little guy. They sure are beautiful fish! Hopefully I'll catch a keeper SM soon. It started getting hot so I headed home around noon.
