Hit the water about 6:30 am and fished around the islands a bit with a SB, missing one and saw a chaser. I then headed back into WT where I boated two LM and one spot, largest LM being 13.5 inches. I look up and see polo-dog walking down his dock. We chatted for about 10 minutes; super nice guy. It's always nice to meet new people from the forum. Shortly thereafter I moved back out towards the bay, gave Jmax and Fishnvol a wave, and fished some shoreline structure still in WT and boated a 13" LM. The water had warmed from 80.5 F early to around 81.1F near noontime. All fish were caught with a TR...my main choice lately. I then decided to explore and ride some towards the dam. After conversing with another bass fisherman near Lakeshore Marina and remembering noticing the TWRA poking around at a beacon pole when I passed, I decided to take a look for myself. It was a sad sad site. A 40 foot net with floats was hung to the pole and caught in the net was around 2 dozen dead fish and turtles. I hated to see that but I didn't have any equipment to haul it out myself. Hopefully the TWRA will haul it out but for the next hour they only seemed interested in spot checking people on the lake. It was nice to celebrate working (Labor Day) by fishing. emoThumbsup
