Man what a day it was...
</p>
Started off getting out of bed at 4:30. (normal for me nowadays!) made coffee, messed around on the internet and made a few post here then got bored. Decided to load my gear up and head out to the waflle House for a big breakfast. Tried to call Flip but no answer. Got to waffle house, ate breakfast, read a good article in a Cabela magazine..left there and tried to call Flip, no answer. Went over to 153 walmart, got a few XRaps and got rid of breakfast. LOL. Left there and called Flip...no answer. </p>
Got to the ramp above the dam around 7 and sat around reading some more and called flip another 2 times...NO ANSWER! We were meeting at 7:30. So at 7:40 something, my phone rings...guess who! Yea, Flip,
"where you at Billy"... "Im at the ramp Flip"... "Guess where I'm at"... "At Home?"..."yea, just got up, I drank a bit too much Vodca"
</p>
SO... Flip makes it there around 8:45...arg. Yea, I gave him hell! They should have a warning label on that stuff! <font color="#ff0000">" WARNING, DRINKING THIS MAY CAUSE A HOUR DELAY ON DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME"</font> </p>
After thawing out the plug hole and Flip gathering his bearings, getting dressed in something warm and unhooking the boat, we finally got in the water.</p>
Water temp was around 44. Fished Jerk Baits and Silver buddies without much luck. Flip did get a cat on an Xrap. He was a happy camper..
</p>
Slow go so we moved to a bluff line and ran into JSV...well we ran close enough to him to consider it running into him. LOL. Right before he came over, I managed a nice 2 pound spot on 4 pound test and the Drumking crappie special. (picture doesnt show...good fat belly on it) Was fun for about 20 seconds.
Jason said he had about 11 or 12 crappie but mentioned it was slow. Seen Treeman...same story, SLOW</p>
Made a few more runs and got a few little bream then decided to try the docks and rip rap around Erwin marine. same thing...SLOOOW. Flip did however manage to get 3 bass in each opening back there. I think they were the only ones! </p>
2pm and we had enough! Time to call it a day and go take a nap. </p>
Even though my pal was late, I still had a great time out there. Most of you know how we cut up and theres never a dull moment. Heres a few pics..
Hope your still alive Flip!</p>
