Lord, what a beautiful day! I haven't been able to fish for over a month due to illness & then trying to catch up at work so this report is for my son today. He had an afternoon off from spring practice & called to see if he could take the boat out. I told him it needed to be run so don't fish too much. Right
Hit the water about 2:15. Found 53-55* water on shallow windy flats & short pockets off the river channel. Caught 6, 5 of them keepers, 1 one was 4.6#. Had one monster on that came unbuttoned on the 2nd jump. He said she'd have gone 7.5-8#. He's caught a couple over 8 so he's probably in the area. All fish hit a gold trap 2-3' deep. Boy, I hope I can get out a couple of hours tomorrow.
