Not much of a report-I fished from about 5:45 till sunset. Wind was ripping so bad, it was tough to fish a t-rig. So I chunked a trap with no takers, then tied on my spook and had about 6 blow ups in the last hour. Of the 6 blow-ups, I only managed to hook one of the fish and it was a good one, but it never made it to the boat. So I scored a big SKUNK for the evening! I thought the fish would be jumping in the boat since we had a front approaching, but that did not seem to be the case! It was still nice to get out there after working all day.

Churly I didn't even bother to report but I did about the same thing you did. I got on the water around 8 am and fished until 1. It was really calm when I got out there and I thought, as you did, that the bite would be incredible with the warm water temps and the front approaching. My first thought was Jmax's top water bite and I tried that. Zip. Not a thing. Had one blowup and that was it. I went to traps and SB. Not a thing. Well I take that back. I DID catch a bunch of bream on both the SB and the trap, just no bass! Not even a bump. Crossed the river to fish the Soddy side as the wind was kicking up and managed two short bass off a point with a crank. Ran up to Eldridge thinking that maybe I could get out of the wind. Forget it! It was REALLY kicking up there, gusting to over 20 mph. Turned tail and had to fight the white caps all the way home, with nothing to show for it. So don't feel bad. I didn't mean to highjack your post, but I know misery loves company!emoBawl emoBawl emoBawl
