Chick Bass 7/14/06, good day again.

I found myself done with business at 2 so went to the Chick to warm up setting the hook for tomorrow.emoBigsmile I got on the water right at 3 and fished till 7. I caught 17 bass and for some reason they were running bigger today. Other than two dinks the rest were all over 13 inches and I weighed the biggest, she was 3 lbs and 9 ozs. That was a big fish but had no belly. I was sure she would go four so I am glad I weighed her or I would have guessed wrong. I ended up with five keepers for sure becuase I measured all five, I believe they would have been about 13 lbs give or take a couple ozs. I could not buy a top water bite today, had three boils on a buzz but no takers. All my fish came off of worms. I had three other good ones get off and one was another big one. Lots of fun and doing the same thing I have been doing. Fishing the points, today they were deeper. Got most of them in around 15 to 20 feet. I got in one h**L of an electrical storm and had to take shelter for about 20 munites while the lighting crashed all around me. That was down right scary.emoEek I hope I can do as well tomorrow on the G.emoCool Jmax

Dang Jmax, you are the fishinest person I've ever met. I used to fish at least 5 days a week but I think you have me whooped. Glad to see that they are still on. You should try that down in Gville. I bet that pattern will work there as well.

Davo the thought has crossed my my mind but I am using a finesse rig. 12 lbs test with a very small wieght of 1/16th and a small tube hook with a 6 inch worm. I keep thinking about all that grass and if I was to get a big one on she would brake me off in that grass. I am not sure if I went to the heavier line I would have the same action and results. If plan A,B and C doesn't work that may be plan D.emoLaugh Jmax

T-Rig, 15 to 20 feet. It takes a couple minutes to go down between casts.emoBigsmile Jmax
