And by hot I mean the weather. Geez, stick a fork in me, I'm done. Well, I didn't get out until around 7:30 or so and went to one of my favorite points. Immediately hooked up with a nice 14 incher on a 3/4oz DJW shad colored spinnerbait. No more bites there. Went to fish some grass with a Zoom Horny Toad and managed 3 more, no big ones but very fat. Moved up river some more to fish a stumpy cove I like and caught another on the spinnerbait and a couple more on a Hardnose Junebug lizard fished t-rig. Since I was just catching dinks I decided to try some deep stuff. Caught a couple more micro bass on a C-rigged lizard on a deep channel drop and another where a creek dumps into the channel. All small...........so I move back down river to a hump that has some good rocks on it. Immediately get a good bite on the c-rig, set the hook and come back with 1/2 a worm. Throw a DJW 3/4 oz jig and get hit hard, set the hook and the dinkest bass you've ever seen comes up. He looked like bait. That was around 12:30, the pleasure boats were out in force and it was too dang hot. Not a bad day by any stretch, plus I found some new spots.

Well, they weren't that hot for me on Saturday but it was very nice to get out, the weather was great until about 10am when it heated up. I put in at WT about 7am and fished the HB area until 3pm. Boated 5 bass but not any keepers. Fished blowdowns with a slugo, used spinner bait, buzz bait, crank bait, and grubs. Fished from 2 ft til about 30 ft. Tried to find some deep but not any luck. I couldn't take the Yacht traffic any longer and went home.
