Hit Wolftever around 7:30 Monday and headed up river. On my 4th cast over some submerged grass are nice bass crushed a Zoom Horny Toad. I had another one blow up big time on a buzzbait right at the boat and then I slowed down dramatically. I went to a hump I'd been fishing and on the first cast with a C-rig about had the rod ripped out of my hands. I just recently spooled up braid on this rod and set the hook too hard. All I came back with was the sinker and beads. Retired with heavier leader and kept at it. Had the same thing happen again so I got ticked off and went to another area. I only caught a few more dinks on a large t-rigged worm in 6-7ft water. It was beautiful out though.
