Me and Fat Albert were going to go this morning but after seeing how cold it was suppose to be we chickened out. Then about 8:30 this morning I decided to see if the bass would still hit top water and went down to the Wolf. Started with the spook and the wind was making it hard to cast straight. Man, was it ever blowing out there. Did not get a hit at first on it so I went to a trap. Caught one on it right off and another hit came off. I then saw some stumps under the water and grabbed the spook again. Boom! a good one blew up on it and I got addicted to the spook again.emoDoh I just cannot put that thing down when some will hit it. I caught about 10 on it in that one big flat. Seemed like every stump I could see had one on it. I moved and could not get them to hit it any more. Finally I tried a worm on a point leading into deep water and hooked two more decent ones there. The bass seemed to stop about noon so I went for crappie in the wolf. I boated about 20 to 25 off docks casting a small 1/16th oz jig but only had five keepers. I left at 3. All in all a good day considering.emoCool Jmax
