chick. crappies 1-20-07

Went out at daydreak from skull Isl. We managed 14 crappies ( 7 keepers), 3 spots and 12 bluegill. Most were caught right after daybreak. Once the wind picked up it was really tough. Slipfloats and tuffies caught them today. All were caught 8-12 ft deep in water that was 13-20 ft deep on structure. Water temp was around 46 * above the nuke and 51* below the discharge. We fished till 3:15 pm hopeing for an afternoon bite but it didn't show up.

I feel better. If Whistler only managed seven keepers all day fishing "minners," the bite really was off yesterday. But that's OK Whistler... you don't have to keep making me feel good. emoLaugh
