Chick Dam flood gates all the way open today

I was driving over the dam today and could tell the water was really rough so I drove down to check it out.

The gates were all the way open and the the fishing pier/walk way had a couple feet of water over the concrete.

It's looking like the flood gates will be open all winter at this rate.

I checked it out also! the river on sunday was REALLY moving!!! and water was way high!!! though... i fish down below the dam regularly on the shore and the gates have actually been pretty wide open for probably the last 3 months!! if the rain doesnt stop the gates wont close until they fill the lake back up!!

I was wondering that myself.

Also there is a gate between that wall and the power house. I have never seen that open.

Kinda wish they would open that one every now and then and flush all the crap out of there.
