Plan on going down this weekend. I've never been there before. Was just wondering if anyone could help me out a little. My plan is to put in at Chester frost. I'm not wanting to run real far just wanna stay pretty close. I've been reading all the fishing reports. My electronics are old school with an eagle depth finder at the console. I have no GPS or down imaging or nothing fancy like that. I'm hoping someone can help me with navigating and maybe some places to try. I know it has marker bouys but are there any humps or other obstacles to watch for. I've been studying maps to get a little better idea. Is there any grass left or has it died out already. Any kind of tips would be great. Thanks all!

Grass stubble is mostly all you will find. The bass are moving deep but you can find them schooling some on points and shallow flats on the edges. As mentioned this time of year you can very easily run aground. Be very careful and stay between the markers when on plain. If you are not sure slow down and idle. Every year for the last nine years a boat or two get lodged on the shallow humps and flats this time of year. It is sometimes so bad they have to wait for the water to rise. Good luck. Jmax

If you put in at chester frost stay to the right on the way out to the river channel there is a hump straight out from the ramp in the middle that is very shallow right now

Any fish on it lol.

Ahhh...well...unless the fish have legs they are not on it. The water is so shallow right now it may be able to be seen, if not it will be just a couple inches under the surface. Jmax

Thanks hook1. Was hoping there was. Jmax I didn't know how low it was I know on priest a couple humps are just under water and unless you know where u can't c em. Thanks though. I was wondering if it was visible or not.
