Me and Shane (Greless) got out this morning at daybreak. We fished till 3:30 pm from the mouth of soddy creek down to harbor lights. We caught around 20 bluegill, 1 warmouth, 1 whitebass and 38 crappie. only 16 were keepers. The largest one was 1.6 lbs. The crappie were caught on tuffies with a slip float. Depths were 4ft down to about 12ft. We were checked by TWRA down below the discharge of the nuke. Everything was in order and he was very friendly. It was good to see him making his rounds around that area. When we got back to the boat ramp at Skull Isl. a police car was sitting there. It was also good to see that area being watched over.

Sounds like you worked hard for 'em, but it paid off. emoThumbsup

Also, on your advice, I bought one of the Okuma reels. I got the MA20DX. So far I like it. I'm not crazy about the "lever" spool release. I'm used to push-buttons. But I'm sure I'll get used to it. Drag seems pretty smooth, at least when it's new. Hopefully it'll hold up better than Shakespeare'semoEnforce. Thanks for the recommendation.

I really hope that the reel performs outstanding for you and your clients. All together I have 6 okuma reels. From ultralight spinning to the larger levelwind. They have alot of ballbearings for the money.
