Very Very slow go. Tried a slough beside the yacht club with no takers. Moved onto some rocky banks and caught a 10 plus pound channel cat on my tube bait. I thought it was going to be much bigger. It dove and ran and didn't want to come up off of the bottom. Finaly wore down and netted it. Fished some more along the rocky banks and caught a small bronze back and three realy small largemouths.

Got nibbles on almost every cast along the rocky banks, but no takers. All fish were taken on carolina rigged pumpkin seed tube bait on 2 ft leader.

Oh yea. The rock bank I mentioned is the one that runs by the lock. Also went last night 7/30 for about an hour on the Chester Frost boat ramp and landed a nice bass on the same tube bait. No other bites or fish.

Thanks for the post G-Man, keep em' com'en. Dog days of summer are here.emoBigsmile Jmax

Thanks for the report G-Man. Hey it could be worse... it could be hotter..emoLaugh I believe a good rain would really lighten things up out there. I know it would sure help to get a little more oxygen in the water. emoRain
After this week you may be able to catch partially cooked fish. The way its going!

Its pouring outside right now here in Flintstone...checked the radar and looks like not many others are getting the rain...can it get any hotter this week!

My son and I went again two nights straight for an hour at the dock. Threw spinnerbait, tubes, lizard and crawl. Notta. Still got the lock jaw or went on vacation. Still fun to wind down after a long day, although I'd like to be winding down on a fish every now and then.
