Well I got permission to go fishing today from my beutiful wonderful wife last night at about 9, tried to find someone to go with me but everyone was tied up or not answering the phone so I went by myself again. It was not as good as Sunday morning but it was close. Sunday I caught 55 bass with 15 on a buzz. Today I caught 37 with only seven on a buzz. The rest were all on a worm. Got out this morning at 5 A.M. and headed for the grass I had found Sunday. The first place I stopped after about ten casts I had a good one blow up on the buzz but missed it. Threw right back to the place and this time he got it good. A nice 3+ came into the boat. I thought, man, this is going to be good. But that was not to be. For about the next 45 minutes didn't have a hit. Than I started hitting some fish but they were all dinks. Finally I had had enough on the buzz and switched to the worm. Started on a drop out in the main lake and picked up about ten doing that. No keepers but some nice 13 and 14 inches. Than went back into WT like I did Sunday and hit points. Must have cuaght at least another ten doing that including two more keepers. Finally about 11 went shallow and tried to get out of the boat traffic that was heating up. Caught several more doing that including one more keeper. The keepers today were bigger than Sunday's and I boated four that went 10.25 lbs. The bad story of the day was the one that got away. I was fishing some pilings and there was four of them close togather. Pitched my worm right in the middle of them and had a hit on the way down. Set the hook and it had some weight. Tried to force it and I knew I was in trouble when the bass, about 4+, came up three feet to the right of where my line was going into the water. Kept my line tight and started to troll to the piling and with the bass pulling one way and me the other the line broke.emoBang The pilings were medal and rusted. It was like sandpaper and sawed right through my line. If I had got that one in that would have been my five keepers and I would have had 14.25, not a bad weight for this time of year. Still a lot of fun and very nice morning until the boaters got heavy and waves about washed me overboard. Jmax
