Chick or Nickajack

My buddy and I have had plans to come down that way for a couple Months to frog fish next Saturday 10/12. I'm not seeing much talk about fishing or the grass. I'm sure the fishing isn't great since its still 100* everyday, but its supposed to cool down tomorrow and hopefully stay that way. How is the grass on each lake? Where should I launch on Chick to fish the grass? I was thinking either Chester Frost or Harrison Bay.

Not a lot of frog mats (if any) on lower end of chick. If you want the most grass you should put in upriver at grasshopper or dayton boat dock and fish north from those.

I figured we would have to go further up river on Chick to get to any mats.

If you want grass go down to Nickajack it has more this year than I have seen in a long time

we decided to go to Nickajack instead. He didn't want to drive almost 3 hours to Dayton.

What is the water on Nickajack looking like? You didn't get as much rain as we did in Mid TN, so I'm guessing it still pretty clear.

I am planning on launching at the marion county park by I24. I know there is always grass in that area, but would I have better luck going further upriver closer to Chattanooga?

They r having drag boat racing at nick Marion county Park 10-11 -19 thru 10-13 -19 just thought I would give u heads up
