chick secret hole 3/20/06 report

Me and whywecatchsomany visited our secret hole last night between 9:30 and 11:00 and wound up with 16 largemouth (biggest in pic), 1 spot that went about 2.5 and one flathead. Most of the fish including the pictured one were in less than 3 feet of water. We threw hair jigs and tubes, any dark color. Pay no attention to the picture of me, I looked about as wild eyed as the bass. It must be the steroids and muscle relaxers I'm on for my back.

Whoo Hooo .. When .. nice fishie! Bad picture!!! Can't see what's behind ya!!! How are we suppose to figure out where the secret hole is if you don't provide any extenuating scenery?

That's alot of fish ... 16! Heck I'm jealous!!!

Nice going, didn't you get wet? I thought it rained all night last night?

TT, it was very, very dark. I did not edit the picture, that is just the way it came out. At least that is my story for now. Whywe and myself are thinking about talking to Dhaun and see if he would like to go with us one night. We figure we will blindfold him, run him around in circles a few times, drive all over town, cross several bridges and railroad crossings and eventually take him to the spot and let him get in on the fishing and report back to CFF. If he figures out where it is AND reports it, then CFF might mysteriously lose an administrator!!!!

I will say this to you TT: I know where you live (approximately) and say this spot is "across the river".

It sure was dark .. but I swear I've seen that light in the background somewhere's before! Other side of the river??? Since I live in Harrison that has me confused! Did you mean lake? haha .. you just want to make me nutz trying to figure out where your fishing hole is. It's working!!!! emoBang

I think you should share your fishing hole with DHaun if he'll go. It would be a nice gentlemanly fishing gesture.

Still sounds like a nice group of fish you caught ... and you deserved it if you did it in the rain too!!!

I take exception to the comments about my photography skills. I acutally think it turned out pretty good considering I had no idea where the camera was pointing! All I know is that on the first cast of the night I hooked a humdinger that I let whip me. I have been out of town for 10 days and almost forgot how.

DHAUN, your in for sure, we have been talking about it but we want it to get right before we bring you up, but count on it.

If you'll enhance the picture by playing with the brightness and contrast you'll see that there are two lights and a really nice rocky shoreline next to him. emoSmile Nothin like helping fishermen.
