Tough afternoon... windy, cold, spittin' snow and no water flowing. Me and Mitch Watson fishing shiners... managed 1 largemouth, 1 sauger and 4 catfish. But great company (for me anyway, I don't know about Mitch?). A whole lot better than sitting at home on the couch. We had nothing worth coaxing my cold fingers to pull the camera out. I'm just now thawing out well enough to type.

You know its cold when you get a backlash and just put the rod down. I tried to pick it out later but gave up again and it still looks like a rats nest.

I did not sit at home on the couch today, I went to my shop and sat on the couch!

My shop becomes "Turkey Camp" for about six weeks out of the year! I have several folks that come out here to hunt each year. I spent most of the day getting it "suitable" for visitors!

The shop has heat, AC, water, fridge, cable TV/27" flat screen, phone, wireless internet, coffee pot, tables and chairs, old couch from the house, ect..........

I went to the shop this morning and put on a pot of coffee, turned on the TV, organized my tackle boxes, re-spooled all of my reels with new line, organized my turkey vest, packed away all of my duck hunting gear, hung my Wyoming antelope on the wall (Mrs. Jack dont mind dead critters on the wall, but she HATES the antelope in the house), hauled away a truck load of stuff to the landfill, and last but not least, sunk my Christmas tree in the pond!

All in all not a bad day!

Same result today as last weekend when I went fishing.....I caught nothing!!emoLaugh

But "Turkey Camp" is ready for the 2007 season!!

I just hope to catch enough crappie between now and turkey season so I dont have to ask "MeatShot"...aka Dave to bring some Arkansas crappie for one night's supper!!
