Chick with Davo 3-24

Davo and I put in ta WT this morning, and a slow start finally picked up with a few fish on traps around shallow stumps. Once the sun got up, that bite slowed and we made a move. A dry spell was broken when Davo's Cb got hammered by the big fish of the day, a 4.5 or better LM. We finished the day with Davo taking me to Shallow t-rig school. He must have caught 10 in 1 slough. We probably had 20-25 LM today, and our best 5 would have pushed 14 lbs or so. Water temps started at 61 and ended at 72. Davo should have a pic of his good one. Thanks for carrying me to the lake Davo!

Sounds like you didn't do too bad. I had a tough afternoon. Got out about 1:30, thought they'd be stacked in the backs of sloughs,but didn't do anything. My wife finally caught a 14" fish off a secondary point. Ended up catching about 10 or 11 LM, 0 keepers, 2 big drum, & a big channel cat. The fish seemed to have scattered some when the water came up some. I always seem to have trouble finding fish again when the water comes up fairly quick like it has the last couple of days.

Thanks for the report Churly.  Sounds like a great day to be out. Did Davo leave you enough room to stand?
