I got out for 2 hours on Sunday afternoon 10/23. The wind was blowing very hard and the water was clear with a temp. of 70. I fished a windblown rocky bank in Wolftever Creek keying on the point and both sides for a distance of about 100 yards. I caught and released 7 bass, 2 of which were over 15". All the fish came on a finesse worm. 5 of the 7 came off a carolina rig with the other 2 coming off texas rig. All fish were caught 5-8 feet or shallower. I did not see any baitfish on the surface (no surprise with the wind) and really didn't see much baitfish on the graph. I believe the fact the bank was windblown was a key. The fish seemed to be waiting for the wind to blow some shad up on the bank. I also noticed that any wood on the rock bank was good. I caught 2 of the 7 with one being a keeper off a stickup. The fish were really shallow on the wood and very, very tight to the cover. I ran into another bass fisherman who said that he had caught a lot of fish in the creek recently on a shad rap.

To all my fellow forum members, if you see my boat on the water (I think I have the only Viper 20' fish and ski on the Chick), if you're close, please give me a shout and introduce yourself. I think one to the very best things about this forum is the opportunity to meet fellow "bassaholics".

Hope to see you on the water soon!

Great to hear that you are still on fish. There are a few stumps on the edge of that flat and around the corner out in front of the brush that might hold bigger fish. I plan to try to map out the edge of that drop too to see if there are a group of stumps that might hold a group of fish that aren't right where everyone else fishes. I'm still amazed that there are still so many fish on that spot with all of the pressure it's been getting. One of these days I would expect that some or all of those fish will move shallower if the water stablizes or move deeper if the water continues to cool quickly. The question is, where is the next focal point shallower and where is the next focal point deeper where they might go. Hopefully we'll be able to fish enough to keep in contact with them.
