You just don't ever know what will happen when you wet a lineemoTongue. I put Sta-Bil in my boat gas tank and planned to take it out for a little while today to get some of the mixture into the outboard as part of my winterizing. It was just such a perfect day on the water. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and very little wind and on top of that temps up to the low 70's. The water temp was 52 -53 and with the bright blue sky I didn't really think I would catch anything. Well I was almost right. I only caught one and it was on the second cast of the day off a point in Harrison Bay. I was fishing a C-rigged June Bug 6" lizard in about 8 foot of water when I felt that familiar "whack - whack" and then I saw the line start to move off. As soon as I set the hook I knew it was a pretty good fish. It didn't come up, it just pulled real good and moved off to deeper water. At first I thought I had hooked a catfish, but then it started coming up and I saw it was a nice bass. It weighed 5 lbs - 8 oz. and measured 21" long. As you can see from the pics --- I hope this works --- I took them with my cell phone camera using the timer with the phone mounted on the boat rear view mirror, the fish was very healthy and had been feeding well. I released it right after the pic so we can catch it again, only bigger next time!!! It was the only fish I caught (I hooked a couple of smaller ones that got off at the boatemoRedface . I guess if I could only catch one - then this is a pretty fair fish. I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. emoThumbsup
