Put in at cf around 4pm. Fished a couple of sloughs with nothing to show. Finally got one around a pound and a half off a deep ledge with a strike king quad shad. Went down towards the dam and finally got in some bass. Got four off same log one right after the other in each cast right after the other. These were all nice fish and would have weighed in. These fish were in around 1 to 2 feet of water. They were short but really fat. Not too short to weigh in tho. All came off the quad shad. My buddy got three off a vibrashock blade near where i got mine. I did however see a nice 6 to 8 pound female sitting on her nest. She took off and parked about 10 feet away so i knew it would be useless to try and catch her. Anyone that spawns fish should know if they take off they are not going to bite anything. It was good anyways since the tournament saturday i'll go after her. So i won't actually be naming spots i fished today since mainly it was a scouting trip for saturday. Was cloudy and hot. Water temps went from 62 to 71 even in some deeper spots so water is warming up good. If anyone happens to catch a bass with a strike king quad shad in its mouth lol its mine. My last fish got all way to the boat and as i pulled it out of the water the lure just came off and was gone with the fish. It was a clean snap at the lure right above the knot and not a untying of the knot. I've never in my life had lure come off cause of a faulty knot. Oh well just another $10 spinnerbait gone. Lucky i have four more in same color. Also caught a huge brim on a dt6 that i got from tr19 at the yardsale last week. Overall not a bad four hours messing around and i got a few places picked out for saturday. All bass caught were largemouth and no spaats in the bunch. My luck tho they won't be biting saturday. It's suppose to cool off and rain saturday so the bass will be holding tight to cover and probably will move back out deep some.
Oh, on the way to the damn we saw a ski boat beached on a sandbar where they ran it up on it pretty good over near pinkys point. Looks like they just left it there till the water comes back up so they can get it off.
I only got one pic of the first bass i caught cause my batteries went down.
