Got the boat out yesterday before work to scout out some new areas. Put the boat in at 8:00am and fished the lower end of the Chick. Wasted most of my 4 hours trying to catch 1 crappie...still didn't happen. I was marking fish like crazy but couldn't get any to bite. Finally took 30 minutes to bass fish and caught one on a shad rap along a rocky bank. Great day to be on the water. I've still yet to catch a crappie...maybe this weekend.

Just fish cover in eddies just out of the main river flow within a few hundred yards of shallow spawning areas and I would expect that you'll get into the crappies. Great to hear that you were able to get out and enjoy the weather.

Cool Bassman ... It won't be long and you'll have that boating thing figured out and lots of fish to report. They're out there .. I know this to be T Rue!
