What a fantastic day on the water today. I had the opportunity to fish with Roba22 and he finally was able to fish a Carolina Rig today. One quick how to lesson and he had it down tight. We fished river ledges and main lake humps. He caught his first fish on it 30 minutes later. All in all a good day. Birds singing, butterflies fluttering through the air, and good company. It was all you could ask for. Robert also caught his first fish pitching too. Caught it on a green pumpkin Zoom Brush Hog against rocks in 15 ft of water. Yessir.....a great day on the water. The only thing I'm asking myself is...WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO THE FISH? I caught 2 dozen last week in the same areas and only 2 fish today. Perhaps the cooler water has sent them towards shallower water. The water temps never got higher than 76 degrees. Oh well, It was great fishing with a fine of a young man as Roba22. Let's do it again Robert.
