Two of my sons and one's girlfriend went fishing for cats at the nuke this evening, The young lady had been begging to go so I broke down and took her today. She got scolded real quick.... Her drag was locked down and she did get hold of a Bigun. It had her rod bent at the reelseat. I was supprised that she could hold on to the rod as hard as that big cat was pulling her. It had her pulled down to her knees and hanging over the side of the boat. I would have loved to have seen that one. Needless to say she is now hooked on catfishing. I lost count how many we all caught. Way too many 2 - 3 lbers. The biggest that was brought into the boat was 15 lb. Released it and all but three around seven pounders for the table. One pic to show.

RE: Chickamauga at the nuke cats.

I always love to catch big numbers when I'm out with friends fishing. Big ones can be fun but I always feel like if there is one big fish on that if I get another good one on that they will wrap so only one can fish/pull at the same time. With little ones doubles aren't any trouble.

Liveliner... did ya'll start down at the Dam? Thought I saw you there when we went out about 2 pm. Fished a while, turned around and you were gone. Or maybe it was just a pigment of my imaginaryation. emoScratch

We put in at the dam with the intent to fish near there. I saw someone over near the locks but did not know who you guys were. It was just too slow and the fish on the sonar was very slim. We ran to the nuke and the sonar turned black with fish just below the drop at the Red bouy. Only a few on skipjack and red Gwantney hotdogs. We tried chicken livers and the bite turned on.

Next time I see you you out there I will say Hi. I fish there at the nuke alot. I have a blue glassmaster with walk through winshield. Congrats on a good day cattinemoThumbsup emoThumbsup emoThumbsup
