Well, against my better judgement I agreed to take a young man, Kevin Drake, bass fishing this morning. Mom bought him a trip for his birthday (nice Mom) and I made it clear I'm not the sharpest bass fisherman in knife drawer. Kevin has plans to become a Bassmaster Pro when he can afford his own boat. He's well on his way because he taught me a thing or to this morning. We didn't murder 'em, but we had 8 or 9 fish for the morning and Kevin stuck a couple of real nice fish (pics below). I told him there were a couple of big tournaments going on today and I know some of those folks would dearly love to have these fish in the livewell. Kevin loaded 'em up in a big cooler to release in a farm pond within walking distance of his home where he can hopefully catch 'em again, without a guide. Can't wait to hear results from CFF 4 & CBA. I hope it was a good day for everbody! emoThumbsup

Wow, so how's the rip rap along Hwy 58? Did the fish look spawned out? One looked to have a bit of a belly. Great job rsimms.

Nice fish, we could have used a few of them today. That first pic. looks like a female thats been fanning, and ready to lay out.

Good job Kevin. Glad you took out a future PRO, Richard. Bet he had a ball. I have seen the time I would have loved to have caught fish like that tourny or not!. Good job guys.

Mr Simms I had a great time fishing with you Saturday, and those pictures are great. I'm still trying to talk my mom into getting me a boat. Can anybody tell me how to get in a tournament without a boat? (until I get my boat!) I am looking forward to talking to everybody on the forum!

crazy, you can get into the next CFF tournaments by signing up on the bottom of the page at this link: http://www.chattanoogafishingforum.com/category-view.asp
One of these days soon it will have a place to click to add your name to the list of persons fishing in the next CFF event, I think that it will be CFF-5. Then I would post that you are looking for a spot on someone's boat and whoever has a spare spot will be getting in contact with you. Just don't be shy as there usually are at least a couple of guys that have a spare spot that would love to have someone to fish with them. I hope that you can fish the next one, I think that it's in early May. They would probably even pick you up on the way to the ramp. Be sure that you talk it over with your parents before you set anything up. It's very important that they feel good about letting you go fishing with someone that they don't know. In fact, if you know someone that owns a boat you could ask them if they wanted to fish with you and that could work out too. Either way I hope that you get to fish some tournaments if that's what you really want to do. If I have an opening I'll let you know. I don't get to fish tournaments as much as I would like to but maybe one of the tournaments this summer will work out. Have fun.
