What a difference a day makes... catfished again this afternoon. Same Bat Time and same Bat Place as yesterday. But cold front shut 'em down... almost. Caught very few fish today, maybe 6 or 7. But we had a couple of real quality fish. Got one big blue that hit 31 lbs. ... a couple more that went 12 & 15. Fortunately today's client was Outdoor Writer Joella Bates and her friend Ben from Fort O'. Sorry, today's pictures are in Joella's camera... I'll add if they get e-mailed ... but it was real nice to have some "quality" fish when the outdoor writer (and camera)
were on-board. emoBigsmile But it is fascinating that fish shut down... water flow and water temperature conditions were exact same as Saturday. Atmospheric conditions (cold front) obviously made the difference. Of course I probably would have known that if I'd checked the Solunar Tables... right DK. emoLaugh

Way to go on the 31 lber Richard. I went out today with my brother in law to try out the cat action. Ended up with three fish. A 13 ,16 and 18. Bite was very slow today for me as well. Current was ripping though. I guess it was the Cold front. Wind was very gusty at times.and COOOOLLLLDDD!!!! We'll get em nextime though.:)

Richard, you do know that the tables change every day don't you? I have a fishin times watch by casio. One push of the button will give you not only the best times, but will indicate how strongly the movements may be.emoBigsmile Heck, catching 3 big blues like you did is a landslide for me, not a slow day.emoBigsmile emoGeezer

OK.... these are very late. But I promised I'd add photos when I received them... a few catfish from Nov. 19. Ben Bandy is a hardcore angler, however he's battling a serious illness these days and doesn't get on the water as often as he would like. But he sure knows what he's doing out there. I am leaving right now (at 10 am), to go see if I can a find crappie that not frozen to a stump. I hope you Frostbite TX folks are holding up OK.
