My son and I launched from Chester Frost about 11:30am...we both had a busy week and needed to sleep in late this morning. We fished for 2-1/2 hours focusing on docks in 12-18 ft using red/chart and white/chart 1/16oz jigs. We caught 12 fish, 7 kept. Water temp was 50. We are gonna fry a few up for dinner tonight! emoHungry

It was also nice to see Jmax and his son today. Spotted him jigging a silver buddy in one of his favorite spots. He told me a big fish story (hope to see it posted soon) and then I went back into Wolftever to check things out. Water was muddy but I trolled 6 jigs for a few minutes anyway. That did not work out so we decided to head on home about 2:00 and saw a huge school of 2-3" threadfin at the creek mouth getting hammered by the birds. They covered up the depth finder and it went from 18ft to reading 2-3ft deep. I looked down into the water and saw swarms of bait...They were so thick we were snagging them on our spoon jigs as we reeled them to the boat.

Nice looking fish and a great looking boy there Dhaun. I'm glad that you got into them a little bit.emoGeezer

Great report there David. Did you fish any of paulj's holes. I thought about going a couple times today as I was 4 wheeling and the first thought was about a couple of pauls docks and how this weather might have them stacked up.

Cheez, After the trip I had with paulJ a few weeks ago you know I had to check his docks for any activity. One of them had several good fish on it and the one upstream had none that I could convince to bite. I was able to find another dock near deep water to pull a couple fish from too. It was around high-noon when we were catching these fish so I was thrilled to get what we got. Just fried up a few and they were good!

Those sure are some nice slabs. We are gonna give them a shot in the morning.emoThumbsup

Couple of nice crappie Dhaun. The one dock you did not do good on usually does not produce unless it is sunny outside. Congrats. If i can get out of the emergency room long enough i might go again one of these days. After seeing those two slabs i have a big itch to get out there.

That money changes your fishing priorities don't it Paul. Now you know why I don't fish as much as I used too. It's a vicious cycle,we buy toys to fish and hunt with then we must work to pay for them so wedon't get to use them as much.
