My son and I launched from Chester Frost about 11:30am...we both had a busy week and needed to sleep in late this morning. We fished for 2-1/2 hours focusing on docks in 12-18 ft using red/chart and white/chart 1/16oz jigs. We caught 12 fish, 7 kept. Water temp was 50. We are gonna fry a few up for dinner tonight! emoHungry
It was also nice to see Jmax and his son today. Spotted him jigging a silver buddy in one of his favorite spots. He told me a big fish story (hope to see it posted soon) and then I went back into Wolftever to check things out. Water was muddy but I trolled 6 jigs for a few minutes anyway. That did not work out so we decided to head on home about 2:00 and saw a huge school of 2-3" threadfin at the creek mouth getting hammered by the birds. They covered up the depth finder and it went from 18ft to reading 2-3ft deep. I looked down into the water and saw swarms of bait...They were so thick we were snagging them on our spoon jigs as we reeled them to the boat.
