Jerdog and I took my boat below the Dam from 7am-12pm. It was cold (about 30) and foggy. Water temp was 58. Nothing was going on near the turbines or rockpile except for a largemouth and smallmouth, both babies. We then went trolling for smallmouth and totally struck out. We finally settled at a cut in the riverbank where an eddy formed over some structure and a nice 30 ft hole that graduated up to 25-17 and then came up to 12ft. We marked some fish and decided to anchor. The fish were stacked up and we spoon jigged 1/2oz and 3/4oz Cordell spoons around the area. We caught 25 stripe/white/yellow bass, 15 bream, and 10 bass (4 were smallies) - nothing of any size but it was nice to get on some fish - All safely released.

Ya and I caught several largemouth in the last 15 min. I was casting to the bank (sunny side) with a bandit crank bait. If I had more time and was bass fishing I would be focused on the shallow water adjacent to deep water. There was one bass that I caught that had a trailer too. Might be a patter worth trying.

It sounds like you guys figured out a good pattern. Small fish can be a lot of fun in my book. I'll bet that it was really cool, I have trouble getting excited about going when I know my fingers are going to go numb on me. It's great that you have a hole or two to fall back on.
