Chickamauga Dam

Hello everyone I’m still really new to fly fishing and I was really wondering if anyone wades out below chickamauga dam and fly fish’s. Is it safe? How hard is it to not get tangled in brush and rock? Any insights will be much appreciated

You cannot wade anywhere immediately beneath the Dam, upstream of the old railroad bridge. But drive down to the parking area and boat launch ramp below the Dam, below old railroad bridge (behind Chatt State). You are likely to see other anglers who wade out on the rock bar there. Several fly fishermen frequent there as well.
