Just a note from Martin and me to thank Jmax and his family and friends for making our recent trip to the Tennessee River area such a great success. As has been previously posted, we really had great fishing action at the Chick with Ratl Traps and Spinnerbaits on the windblown points, catching a lot more fish than we're used to at our home lake in Virginia. (Smith Mountain Lake) Above that, we enjoyed great fellowship with Jmax and his partners, as he shared his fishing spots with us sometimes fishing only a lures throw away. Our trip culminated with a wonderful steak dinner with all the fixins provided by backyard Grillmaster Jmax and his lovely wife. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality. Pat

emoWorthy Jmax, You are the man and that post proves it.
Doesn't it make you feel good when your positive efforts pay off with gratitude from folks like that? Very proud that you are a CFF member. It's people like you that make all of us CFF members look good. emoThumbsup

I understand what you mean, Jmax is great at putting people on fish. He and I have had some great times out there together too. I'm glad that Chickamauga was good to you. I hate it when friends come from out of town and don't do well on the water. Keep those lines wet!

Wow!!!!!!!!!emoEek I am speachless.(No I'm not.)emoLaugh Pat if you look back on here and see this I want you to know that friends like you and Martin do not come around every day. I had a great time with you two as well and hope we can do it again in the spring.emoThumbsup I know we boated well over 100 bass in four days but in all honesty I was somewhat dissappointed that it took us four days to do it.emoScratch I am glad you had a good time!emoParty The weather made it tuff on us with rain and wind at the G and cold temps and rising water at the Chick.emoAngry Even with all that I feel we did fair under the conditions. We can improve it from there.

Thanks to my CFF fellow members for the help and to tarheel and CCSM for being my back seat partners.emoSmile Jmax

It's good to hear that folks from out-of-town can get a chance to thoroughly enjoy what most of us take for granted. The system of TVA rivers and lakes make Chattanooga an excellent fishery.

...Jmax is great at putting people on fish.

Hey Jmax, seeing as how you are such a great guy and all, how about putting me on some fishemoAngel.

Jason, I will tell you the truth. I was all ready to post our Saturday trip and got on and saw you with your 8+ lber and thought we did not hold a candle to that one and never did the post.emoWorthy Can YOU show me how to catch one like that on the Chick??????? I was like RR thinking they didn't get that big on the Chick and it was all a big hoax about guys catching them like that. Maybe we can trade, I'll show you how to catch a lot of small ones if you can show me how to catch one like that.emoThumbsup Jmax

P.S.; Saturday we caught 30 bass even, CCSM and I boated 18 bass and Pat and Martin boated 12. The cooler temp had our fish slowed down and we did not find them like we did on Friday when we boated 64 bass. Caught them the same way we did the day before on SBs and RTs. Still a lot of fun.emoTongue

Jmax, I was behind you as you pulled into Wolftever on Saturday around 7:30...wondered where your report was. If I truly knew how to consistently catch big fish, I would be doing it for a living. On occasion, I just happen to be in the right place at the right time with the right lure and right presentation. As it is now, I struggle to come up with five keepers at our amateur events.

I agree with all the fishing info and the catching of fish. But Grillmaster is a pretty high honor that must be earned. Let's not get carried away here. Those must be some really small bass in Virginia.emoLaugh
