Hey guys i am a bowfisherman as well as fisherman. and i was wondering if any of you guys have noticed any grass carp or buffalo on Chickamauga lake anywhere. Common Carp as well. We wanna start shooting up there instead of nickajack because over the past few year that people have been bowfishing the Nick it seems to have got better with catching game fish with rod n reel. the carp destroy the game fish beds and muddy that water and the eggs go stagnent!! Any help would be appreciated

just a curiousity question, What do you guys do with the fish you catch while bowfishing? I have just seen several people leave the boat ramp with a few fish and was wondering if they actually ate them.

It has been over a month but there is a spot off Vincent Rd that I saw plenty. There is a slough (sp?) just across River Run Dr which is the entrance to Eagle Bluff golf course. I was shore fishing there early (0600) one morning and caught 1 little bass before about 8 good size Carp came in and scared everything away. They were flopping around and running up on shore. You wouldn't have needed a bow. I could have easily reached down and picked up all 8 without getting my feet wet. They got so far on shore they had to flip themselves back to deep water to swim off. Dont know if this helps but maybe you can find some there. FYI there is a pull off across from the Rd mentioned above or you can use a ramp that is just on the other side of the slough. You access it maybe 1/4 mile before you get to the pull off. good luck
