Took my dad fishing after being out of action for a couple of weeks due to a vacation and spending a week in the hospital for my wife and unborn child. All is much better now and had to get out and get some fresh air.
We caught a mix assortment of fish (largemouth, smallmouth, and bluegill) on crankbaits trolled slowly along the rip-rap below the dam. Came up on a hole that we went back over 8 times with 8 fish being caught. 3 were some good sized smallmouth in the 14-17 inch range. They were sitting on the bottom in 17 feet of water. They really wanted the crankbait SLOW. I was using a Cabelas crankbait in the TN shad color. Water temp was 80F
