Just a quick report on our fishing trip yesterday.Boated 6 cats with the biggest being 18 lbs and the smallest being 10 lbs. We were out there about 6 hours. We caught probably around 30 bluegills with one of them being 10 1/2 inches!!!!! Caught 5 or 6 spotted bass. Bluegills and spots were suspended in 15 to 20 feet of water. Water temp was anywhere from 58 to 63 degrees depending on where you were at. Had 3 really good cats get off one broke the 50 lb braid main line and other two just wasnt hooked good. They were biting really soft. Sometimes you wouldnt even see the rod get hit...youd just see the line start swimming off. I hope when the weather warms back up they will get more aggressive. My family is gone back to Wisconson today but thay all had a good time...all caught the biggest blue cats theyd ever seen...and said they would definitly be back this fall! Im gonna go up there this winter and try out some Muskgee and big Northern Pike Ice fishing!!! My brother in law said it was colder out there yesterday with the wind chill than he EVER gets when hes ice fishin. He said they keep it about 80 degrees in the shack and you just look out the window for the flag to go up while you are inside all nice and cozy playing cardsemoCool Sounds like fun to me! It was VERY cold yesterday morning. Didnt see another boat till about 1pm. Some of us are HARD CORE....or just plain crazyemoLaugh emoLaugh emoLaugh
