Well I know you all know it but I have to vent a little so bear with me. Chickamauga is ridiculously crowded on the weekend. I put in at HBSP about 6:15 and there were only two open trailer parking places available! And this is without any tournaments going out of HBSP. Ok, I feel some better, on to the actual report. Weather was great but it got hot, hot. Had fog early, winds very light. Water clarity very good and water temps ranged from 76 that morning to 80 when I left about 2:15 pm. I managed to grind out 11 bass, probably 3 or 4 keepers. I lost a decent keeper early on a rock bank when I got it all the way to the boat and on one last jump it spit my spook back at me. All boated fish were on finesse worms from right on the bank to 20' deep. My best fish was a 3 1/2 which came in the shade under an overhanging tree on the main lake. I did see some willow flies already hatching. There was at least one wrapped boat on every good spot and combined with all the pleasure boaters it made for interesting riding conditions on the main lake, it really got stirred up pretty good after 10:30 am or so. Spoke to one of the guys practicing for the FLW event and at 1:00 pm he said he only had caught 3 short fish. Everyone be safe and watch out for the other person:)

I know that Chick has big fish but the traffic on it is almost intolerable. Seams that no one has consideration for others and that includes some fishermen . So let's watch out for others .

You are more of a trooper than I am.. I wont touch the lake on weekends during this time of year. I might go Friday afternoon or possibly a Sunday evening but thats not to often. Good report and yes we all need to be safe out there too many people on the water with not enough regard for others
