Had few hours to fish Saturday morning before a lunch date with my wife. Put in at Rivermont around 7:00 Riverpark ramp still closed). Saw JJ and said hello and launched out. Water temps around 58, clarity very good, flow was not much. Great overcast calm morning to fish. Only problem was that no one told the fish so I didn't do much catching. Water temp needs to come up a tad and I don't think the fish trust that the water level is stable after all the rain we have had. Anyway I enjoyed the morning and the few dinks (spots) I managed to catch. Rushed home, cleaned up and went to a great lunch with my wife. We met some friends from our small group at church (Silverdale) for lunch and had a great time. Better fishing is ahead, I just hope the conditions stabilize and we actually have a prolonged spawn instead of all the fish rushing up, doing the deed in a day or so and moving off. At least to me it seems like that is what has happened at least at Riverpark the last couple of years. Hope to see you on the water and that you're doing more catching than I've been doing lately!
