I met up with Churly to do a little bass fishing. We got on the water around 6ish(pm) and headed straight to a big slew with alot of stumps ans shallow water. We did ok in there. Should have been alot better! Churly landed a nice 15/16 inch bass(thick) using a T-rigged worm( I think),he missed quite a few in there. We figured they were bedding, they would grab his worm and move it a few feet and drop it before Justin could get a hookset.emoBang As for me, I caught one short one in there on a rattle trap. I started to use a oversized spook type bait and missed at least a half dozen fish. They really never exploded on it,just kind of slapped it around. Now we did see a monster bass on a bed in the same area! emoEek It was an easy(and I mean easy) 8lbs!! It really looked like a green carp!! Of course we spooked it with the boatemoBang .
We headed across the lake to finish up on a nice bank. Justin caught another keeper,on the same worm and I caught another short bass on a lizard. Justin did have a really good bass jump off right has he was leaning down to lip it. Looked to be right around 4lbs or so. It was a really nice evening to be out! We didn't slay them by any means,but it gives me a starting point (lure wise) for saturday. Had a great time,and look forward to fishing with Justin again soon!!!emoToast
