Well Jmax was knockin on me for not puting a report up from the CBA, So here ya go Jim and everyone else:

I only got to prefish on tuesday and Thursday and I only got about 4 daylight hours of practice between those two days which yeilded only 2 keepers and several little buck bass. Friday night I was pretty stressed and depressed as I have not been on any fish this year, and I was dreading taking another beating. All this after staying up late Friday to make sure the tournament stuff was ready to go. ( As president, more of my time is spent worrying about putting on a quality tournament, rather than what I need to do to catch good fish). Any way, I wasnt feeling any better Saturday morning. My partner even asked me what was wrong, I seemed quite...

The morning started off just as I expected with zero keepers boated by our 4th stop. On our fifth stop, I boated a fat little spot in 10ft of water. Our 6th stop really turned the day around for us as David landed our big fish a 5.02# on a shallow running crankbait. We moved on down and slowly began to grind it out once we figured that our fish were in 9-11FOW near spawning areas waiting to go up. In a few hours I had put a 4.5, 3.75, and 3.25 in the box to round out a limit, finally I was able to cull out the spot with a keeper LM that I culled through about 3 times with an inprovement of about .1lb each time. I caught every single fish I boated Saturday on plastics in 9-11FOW. The fish would just barely grab the bait and hold on and you really had to feel for the bite. We ended the day with 5 that weighed 19lbs and good for 10 place and a check. The only thing I can attribute our success to, is not fishing anywhere near where I practiced. Basically, we eliminated water all week...

At the end of the day, I went to check some beds and buddy they were in there getting ready to get it on! But they just didnt want the bait, Sadly I went back Sunday to find that most of those beds were hi and dri! Thanks again TVA!

Guys, if you havent fished a CBA before, I want to invite you to come out and see how much fun we have. We are the oldest team tournament trail in the country, We offer the highest payout and the most prizes of any local team trail anywhere! Yes, we have some super talented guys that fish with us but I am proof that anyone can compete. With the youth and new team incentives, there is not a good reason to come attend one and see what you think. Our next event is May 14th.

There you have it Jim!

Congrats Justin on a nice bag of fish and the check. Saturday turned out to be all about location and timing. We struggled until 1pm and then in 15 minutes had 17.5+ in one little staging area. Thanks again for all of your hard work

emoApplause Thank you Justin, you did well. Also thanks for all you hard work. emoToast Jmax
